Hidden Lakes Keller Amenities: Pools, Trails, Parks & More
When buyers begin looking at homes in Hidden Lakes in Keller, Texas, the houses themselves are only part of the story. One of the things that makes this established master-planned community stand out is the collection of amenities woven throughout the neighborhood.
Hidden Lakes includes three swimming pools, playgrounds, soccer practice fields, a sand volleyball court, trails and greenbelts, a community clubhouse, and the Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club located within the community.
If you're considering buying a home in Hidden Lakes—or already live here and haven't explored everything the neighborhood offers—here's a closer look.
Three Community Swimming Pools
One of the most noticeable Hidden Lakes amenities is its three junior-Olympic-sized swimming pools. The pools are available to Hidden Lakes residents in good standing with the HOA and their accompanied guests. Small playground areas are also located adjacent to each pool.
The three pool locations are:
Bear Creek Pool — 2700 Bear Creek Parkway. This location has lap-lane markings and a separate kiddie pool.
Preston Pool — 1001 Preston Lane.
Bloomfield Pool — 301 Bloomfield Drive.
According to the Hidden Lakes HOA, the pools generally open in mid-May and typically remain open through the first week of October. Because schedules and rules can change, homeowners should always verify current information directly with the HOA.
For buyers relocating to North Texas, having multiple neighborhood pools can be especially appealing during our long Texas summers.
The Bear Creek Clubhouse
Hidden Lakes also has a community clubhouse located at the Bear Creek amenity center at 2700 Bear Creek Parkway.
The clubhouse can be reserved by eligible Hidden Lakes residents for private gatherings and includes tables and chairs, a television and soundbar, seating areas, a fireplace, full-service kitchen and restrooms. Reservations and current fees are handled through the HOA.
It's another example of how Hidden Lakes was designed to offer more than simply streets and homes—it includes shared spaces for residents to gather and connect.
Playgrounds and Outdoor Recreation
Families comparing Keller neighborhoods often ask me about outdoor recreation, and Hidden Lakes offers several options within the community.
Playground areas are located near the neighborhood pools, and the HOA also identifies a playground in Providence Grove.
Hidden Lakes also maintains five recreational soccer practice fields: three at the Bear Creek amenity area and two at Bloomfield. The fields have specific resident and reservation requirements, so anyone interested in using them should check current HOA rules.
There's also a sand volleyball court at the Bear Creek amenity center for Hidden Lakes residents and their guests.
Trails and Greenbelts
This may be one of my favorite features to point out to buyers.
Hidden Lakes includes hike-and-bike trails and greenbelt areas, and the neighborhood connects with Keller's larger trail system.
The City of Keller reports that the Big Bear Creek Greenbelt Trail is approximately 5.4 miles long, running from Keller Sports Park east to Bear Creek Parkway at Lakeridge Drive within the Hidden Lakes community.
That connection gives residents opportunities for walking, jogging and biking beyond their immediate street or village.
For buyers who enjoy an active lifestyle—or simply like having green space nearby—this is an amenity that's easy to overlook when you're concentrating solely on square footage, kitchens and bedrooms.
Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club
Another distinctive feature of Hidden Lakes is Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club, which sits within the community.
The golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., and Big Bear Creek comes into play on 16 of the course's 18 holes.
An important distinction for buyers: Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club is a separate entity and is not legally associated with the Hidden Lakes Master Association. Living in Hidden Lakes therefore shouldn't be interpreted as automatically including golf membership or golf privileges.
Still, having a golf course integrated into the landscape contributes to the character of portions of the neighborhood, particularly for homes situated near golf-course views.
Green Space Is Part of the Hidden Lakes Experience
Sometimes an amenity isn't a building or a swimming pool.
The mature landscaping, greenbelts, trails, water features and open areas throughout Hidden Lakes contribute significantly to the overall feel of the neighborhood.
Because Hidden Lakes consists of 16 individual villages and homes were constructed over a period stretching approximately from 1996 through 2020, the experience can vary depending on where within the community you're looking.
That's why I encourage buyers not to evaluate Hidden Lakes based on just one street—or even one village.

What Should Buyers Consider About Hidden Lakes Amenities?
Amenities can add significant lifestyle appeal, but buyers should also understand the responsibilities that come with living in an HOA community.
Before purchasing a Hidden Lakes property, I recommend reviewing current HOA documents, assessments, rules and restrictions rather than relying solely on information contained in a listing.
The HOA also requires Architectural Control Committee approval before most exterior updates, renovations and repair projects, which is something buyers planning future improvements should understand before purchasing.
Certain gated portions of Hidden Lakes also have sub-associations and supplemental HOA assessments, making it particularly important to evaluate the specific village as well as the overall Hidden Lakes community.
Is Hidden Lakes Right for You?
Hidden Lakes appeals to buyers for many different reasons. Some are attracted to the pools and recreational amenities. Others prioritize trails and green space. Golf-course surroundings may be important to another buyer, while someone else may simply love the established feel of the neighborhood.
That's also why comparing homes within Hidden Lakes requires more than looking at price and square footage.
The right home may come down to which village, location and combination of amenities best fits the way you want to live.
